Dear Volunteers,
Sometimes volunteers ask me, " What are we really suppose to be doing at camp?"   As I started thinking about the purpose of Camp Alabare, this thought came to me: Camp is about coming, seeking, and being there to receive grace and friendship and to serve Him using the gifts He's given to us.  And then I came across these words of wisdom and thought of all of us.  God does not reward for good results but for the patience and hardship undergone for His sake.  It's not about how many people have conversion experiences, go back to the church, get the sacrament of matrimony or confession or holy orders or communion or baptism, that is all God's doing, not ours.  We are called to be there, God does the rest.  As usual, St. Francis has a daily quote that totally applies to the message.
The measure of our love is to love without measure.

- St. Francis de Sales
Hope the door to faith has opened for you, Karen
